WE GOT GAME STREETBALL IS PROUD TO INTRODUCE THE
***GOT SKILLZ? DRIBBLE, PASS & SHOOT CHALLENGE***
which will be the most exciting recreational basketball program to hit the playgrounds of Greater Atlantic City/Southern New Jersey since Hoop-It-Up, with THOUSANDS of youths(and adults) taking part in fun and competition during the Summer months.
As with all WGG activities, this program will be accentuated by a sports arena atmosphere of room-rockin' music, beats and sound bites, guest appearances by a youth dance team and climaxing with a blockbuster back-to-school fundraiser Jamm.

In coming Summers, the "GOT SKILLZ?" Dribble, Pass & Shoot STREET TEAM will be showing up unannounced at area playgrounds to spontaneously "challenge" ballers to see WHO'S GOT THE SKILLZ to take some of our STASH OF "GOT SKILLZ?" T-SHIRTS off our hands! These surprise Challenges will give ballers a chance to be introduced to "Got Skillz?" in advance of an up-coming competition and test their ability at performing the three fundamental "skillz" of basketball[dribbling, passing and shooting).
WE WILL ALSO BE DISTRIBUTING INFORMATION & SIGN-UP FORMS FOR UP-COMING COMPETITIONS.

WE GOT GAME STREETBALL
OFFICIAL 3-VS-3 BASKETBALL RULES

PLAYERS

1.  Each team must have three (3), four (4) or five (5) players on their roster and be registered as a team

by the pre-determined entry deadline.

2.  Team will be grouped in divisions with teams of similar average age, size, and playing ability.

3.  Player eligibility will be enforced through the use of player ID bracelets.  Identification for each player is required at on-site registration, (players under the age of 16 can use birth certificates).

4.  Eligibility problems will be addressed from time of discovery.  No replay of games or adjustment will be allowed for previous tournament games and standing involving the team in question.

5.  No consumption of alcoholic beverages or smoking will be allowed on site.

6.  Players may appear on only one (1) team roster for each tournament.  Any player appearing on more than one (1) team roster will be automatically disqualified from participation in that tournament.

PRE-GAME

1.  All games may start and be completed with three or less players.

2.  Both teams will warm-up at the same time prior to the game.

3.  Only those teams scheduled to play are allowed to occupy the court at the scheduled time.

4.  Teams MUST be at their court at their scheduled time, even if games are "running behind".

SCORING

1.  A field goal is worth one (1) point.  A technical shot is also worth one (1) point.

2.  A successful goal from behind the "take back" line (3-point circle) is worth two (2) points.

The player shooting must have both feet completely behind the line when initiating the attempt.

3.  Games are played up to 16 - win by 2 or first one to 20, or team ahead after 15 minutes wins.

4.  All Consolation games are played to 10, to team ahead after 10 minutes wins.

LIVE BALL / DEAD BALL / POSSESSION

1.  A coin flip before the start of the game will determine who gets the ball out-of-bounds first.

2.  The ball will change possession after a scored basket.

3.  Jump balls will be called by the court monitor and will go to the defense.  Jump ball on a rebound will go to the team that was on defense.

4.  The front of the portable baskets will be played out-of-bounds.  The top of the backboard is out-of-bounds; however, the sides and bottom of the backboard are in play.

5.  The ball must be checked by an opposing player before it is put into play.  The player must pass the ball in while standing out-of-bounds at the top of the court to begin play.

6.  All fouls and violations will be played out-of-bounds at the top of the court.  A ball out-of-bounds will be taken out at the top of the court.

7.  The ball must be "checked" past the two point line on each court on every change of possession.  Violation occurs only if a basket is made by the team failing to properly "take it back", and will result in loss of point scored and possession to the other team.

8.  "Taking back' means one foot behind the two point line.

FOULS AND VIOLATIONS

1.  All fouls and violations will be called by a Court Official.  In Adult divisions players call their own foul and violations, but in some cases, when needed, a Court Official will call the fouls and violations.

2.  If a foul is called while a player is attempting a shot and the basket is made, then count the basket, record the foul, and no foul shot is awarded.  On the 7th -12th team fouls, award a free-throw for all fouls and the ball changes possession if the free throw is made or missed.  After the 12th team foul, award a free throw for all fouls and if free throw is missed, the fouled team retains possession.  If the free throw is made, the ball changes possession.

3.  A Tournament Official and/or Monitor may call a technical foul for flagrant, intentional fouls.  A dead ball technical foul shot will be awarded to the team fouled.  The team captain selects the shooter for one shot from free throw distance.

The shooting team also receives the ball out-of-bounds following the free throw, whether the shot is made or missed.

4.  Continual misconduct or flagrant/intentional fouling will result in immediate dismissal of the guilty player or teams from that particular game and/or all remaining games at the discretion of the Court Official or Tournament Official.  Fighting and, or throwing a punch will not be tolerated under ANY circumstances and will result in immediate dismissal without refund of registration fees.

TIME-OUT AND SUBSTITUTIONS

1.  Each team is allowed one (1) 45 second time-out per game.

Clock continues to run, except during last 3 minutes of the game.

2.  Player substitution is permitted during any dead ball situation.

COURT OFFICIAL AND COURT MONITOR DUTIES

1.  The team captain is the sole spokesperson for his/her team.

2.  Any questions, complaints, or comments shall be taken up with the Court Official or Monitor.

3.  The judgment decisions of the Court Official and/or Court Monitor cannot be changed by higher authority.

4.  Once play resumes after a disagreement or appeal, the decision is considered to be final.

No further discussions or complaints will be allowed on that incident.

5.  Court Monitor may settle a disputed call with the flip of a coin.
